I DID IT!!!!!!!!

After much heartache, I did it. I had my tooth pulled on Friday. The Oral surgeon was a big jerk to me and if loosing this tooth doesn't solve my toothache, Dr. Wallock...I will not be coming back to you. So I went to his office on Thursday and he pretty much talked me out of having my tooth pulled because he said it could be the wrong tooth and he could be pulling a perfectly good tooth. So I didn't have it pulled. I mean come on, if the oral surgeon is telling you he wouldn' have his tooth pulled if it were his mouth, would you? So I left my pain meds wear off and through process of elimination, and Dan and I tapping on my teeth with a knife, I decided that I should have it pulled. So I went back to the jerk, or uh I mean Dr Wallock on Friday morning and in less then 10 minutes, it was out. At his office you have to pay for half of your services the day you have it done. So here I am, just having my tooth pulled, a big thing of cotton gauze in my mouth..yuck, and waiting to pay my bill. The receptionist pulls up my account and gives me my bill from the extraction. WOW! For the less then 10 minutes it took to pull the tooth, it will probably take us 3 months to pay off the bill. Then to make my day even better, she says I also have a balance from the previous day. WHAT????? I said. What did I get charged for yesterday? (may I remind you , I was in with the dentist less than 2 minutes and HE is the one who told me to wait). Well, The super nice jerk charged me $70.00 that day. They called it a "consultation". Had I known I was going to be charged to talk to the guy for 2 minutes, I would have at least kept him there for a half hour to get my money's worth. Why do these things always happen to me? So, It is now Sunday and I am still in pain. Please pray for my teeth! I don't want to have another one pulled. And if you need to have any sort of oral surgery done...I suggest staying away from Dr. Robert Wallock. Not so good!

Dusting

When is the last time you dusted? Well, I can't remember the last time I pulled out the Pledge wipes and dusted. Well, it was long overdo. I am in clean mode this morning. I don't think I will feel up to cleaning this weekend after my tooth is pulled, so I am doing it all this morning. For about the past month, I have watched the dust pile up on our entertainment center. It was so unbearable to look at, but I usually noticed it while nursing, and I am not that talented to nurse and dust at the same time. Well, I used an entire package of Pledge wipes today just on the living room. I even dusted the fan. Now on to the bedroom. Oh wait, I don't have anymore wipes. I guess I will have to wait another month. So I hope I have inspired you all to go and dust a little bit. It makes you feel good. (or maybe I am just a little out of it. I am on pain pills, 800mg of Ibuprofen, and 1000mg of Tylenol. With that much in my system, I have to be crazy to actually like dusting, don't I?)

Just Kidding!

Okay, I drove all the way to the dentist today in fear of losing my tooth. Well, I get there, he takes an exray, and then tells me he is sending me to an oral surgeon. So, I am blessed to still have all my teeth today and will be minus one tomorrow at a about 2:30pm. I am really nervous and scared. I had my wisdom teeth pulled in high school. All four of them and they were all impacted and I was wide awake throughout the whole ordeal. So being that I am much older now and have had worse done....why am I so scared? I think it is because of the shot they give you right in the roof of the mouth. OUCH! I remember that shot so clearly from my wisdom teeth. This is much worse than an epidural for child birth. I have to honestly say what I am scared most of is........the cotton they are going to put in my mouth after the tooth is gone to prevent it from bleeding to much. If you know me well, you know that I hate cotton. I hate to look at it, feel it, or even just think about it. It gives me the goose bumps (which I have now). Yuck. Anyways, I will end my pity blogging and try to get some rest for the big day tomorrow. Oh yeah one more thing. The pain medicine my dentist gave me comes with this notice: Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous. Do you think staying at home with the kids is too dangerous for me to do while I am on the medicine? I guess we will find out tomorrow. Please say a prayer for me as I will soon be without a tooth.

So...Molly was coloring with markers yesterday and Sadie was coloring with crayons. (or should I say eating the crayons...don't worry they are non-toxic). Well, Sadie was doing pretty well at coloring so I asked her if she would like to try a marker, Well sure she did. She picked out the two green ones (green is her color I think). Well, Silly me, I decided to leave the kitchen where they were coloring and tend to Abbie. Needless to say, when I came back to check on them a few minutes later....Sadie was green. Her mouth and teeth were green along with her hands and face. So I wiped her up (the markers are washable) and took the markers away. Well, that of course Made our Sweet Sadie cry and guess what? Her tear she cried came out green. While I was tending to Sadie, Molly decided to "paint" her fingernails with her blue marker. It is never ending action and fun here at the Wilke home....but I wouldn't want it any other way. Posted by Picasa

Do I have to?

Well, I finally did what I have been putting off for over two years now. I went to the dentist. The last time I went, I had 8 cavities filled. Yeah I said 8. Well, I knew I was going to have more cavities to be filled and a few other problems. About a year ago, I noticed a dark spot on one of my eye teeth. Well, I had a huge dark hole in my tooth. Then on Christmas of 2004 I chipped one of my back teeth and had a very sharp tooth in my mouth. Well, I delt with all my problems while I was pregnant, but I really don't have any good excuses now that I can't get my teeth fixed. One other thing I should mention is that Dan and I don't have dental Insurance. We had looked into it through Dan's work, but the amount of money it would cost was just too much to take from our budget right now with the three kids. So , anyways, a couple of months ago I had a full set of exrays taken and was told I had 5 cavities. Ok...I can handle that. As long as I didn't have to have a root canal I was ok. So, Dan and I went to the dentist on last Friday. He has never had a cavity in his short life, so he came into the room with me and watched while I had my work done. My mouth was sore and I had a bad headache from all the drilling. Well, throughout the weekend one of the teeth my sweet dentist worked on was aching. I figured it was just sore because he had really done quite a bit to that one tooth. So, I awoke in horrible pain last evening from by aching tooth. I just knew something like this was going to happen. Well, I called my dentist this morning and guess what? He says my tooth is more than likely dying because it was a really deep cavity. So my two options are to have a root canal or have my tooth pulled. Well, I have had a number of root canals in the past , and they are just not a fun thing to do. My dentist also told me that a root canal is much more expensive than getting a tooth pulled. So tomorrow is the big day...I am going to have my tooth pulled. Yeah I can't wait. I would much rather go through labor than have a tooth pulled. So tomorrow at 4:00 pm please think of me sitting in the dentist chair, my mouth numb and wide open, and my precious dentist taking or should I say pulling my dead tooth from my mouth. Perhaps I will take pictures of the ordeal for you all and post them. I can't wait....Can you?

Kids say the darndest things.....

So as you all are probably aware of....I rarely spend money on myself. Probably once every 6 months I will pick up a new shirt or something, but other than that nothing else is really ever purchased. I refuse to even go and get my hair cut by a professional. Dan is a good sport and trims (sometimes does more than trim) my hair for me. I also don't get it highlighted or colored professionally anymore either. The last time I had my hair professionally done was the day before I found out I was pregnant with Sadie. (maybe that is why she is so crazy,,,they say you shouldn't dye your hair when you are pregnant). Anyways, it cost me over $150.00 and holy cow that is way too much money to waste on me! So, Dan again, is a good sport and will highlight my hair too. Well a couple of months back, Dan was highlighting my hair and I am pretty sure he was getting sick of doing it so he just put all the dye on all over the place leaving me with at least 4 different hair colors. I had some blonde spots, a couple of white streaks, and not to mention that he didn't get down to my roots, so I think you get the picture. Then about a week later we tried to fix it, and I must say, it looked a little better. Well, lately our friend Julie (the one who is going to teach about families but doesn't have one!-that's for you Julie) has been teasing me about my hair and telling me to color it. I wanted to wait a while until.....My precious Molly came up with the best line. We were at Gymboree yesterday evening (Dan, me, the three crazy kids, and Julie) and I was bending down to try some ugly shoes on Molly she wanted to get. As my head is bent down looking at Molly's shoes and Molly is holding onto my head to keep her balance, She says, "Mommy, what's that crack in your head for?" Of course Julie happened to hear her comment and we both burst out laughing. By my crack she was referring to my very dark roots showing next to my bleach blonde hair. At that moment, I knew I had to do something about it. I have to leave it to my 2 year old to tell me how it is. So, I wanted to fix my crack. Well, you would think I would make an appointment and get my hair done by someone who knows what they are doing. Are you kidding? I refuse to pay that much so we headed of to the new Walmart by our house. I made Julie come with to help pick out a color and then also convinced her to pick out some highlights for her hair. We picked out our goods and headed home to play beauty shop. Well, Julie started by coloring my hair one solid color and while my hair was "setting" I highlighted her hair. Well, my hair is a little bit darker now and my roots are still a little visible but Molly hasn't mentioned a crack yet. I think Julie got the good end of the deal. I of course did an awesome job on her hair and wow it looks good. So I think I will stick with my color for at least a few weeks and see what I can change later. I would say things worked out pretty well. I only spent $7.00 on a new color compared to $75.00-$100+ I would have spent going somewhere to get it done. If any of you need your hair colored and highlighted, Julie and I are thinking of starting a new traveling salon and would be more than happy to come use our skills on your hair. We promise, we won't even charge you that much. Dan is also willing to come along and cut and trim hair. What more could you ask for?

It's My Party and I'll sit if I want to...

Who's party do you ask? Who is just sitting do you ask too? Funny you should ask. I will give you all one guess on who had a party and again Managed to do , well,,,, not a thing. Okay I will give you a clue...He is a doctor! Yes, you got it right.

So Mom had this big party for Matt on Saturday so everyone could come say goodbye to the Doctor before he left for his hard life in Hawaii. Now in case you may be somewhat in the dark...While Matt was here, he managed to do nothing. He has got it down pretty good now. I realize he has three kids to care for....but wait, so do I and I HAD to at least help out. Well, his big send of went well and we all had a good time. It was hard to see them leave to go back to Hawaii. We are a very close family and to have part of the family so very hard away always makes get togethers a little less fun knowing we are not all there. Molly and Their daughter Jessica had a good time together. By the end of the two weeks, Molly finally learned her name and stopped calling her "that little Girl." I would love to be able to go out and visit them before they move to their next destination. I am hopeful that One day we will receive 2 tickets to Hawaii in the mail and we will get to go. Only in my dreams, but it is better to dream big than to not dream at all. Right?

As for the rest of the family, I am pretty sure we are all taking a break from each other for a while since Mattfest has ended. My kids are back on a nap and sleep schedule and I actually got to clean a bathroom yesterday. Let me leave you with this: Cast Your Cares on Him for He cares for you! My favorite Bible verse!

(Matt and Maria, I am so glad you were able to come back and visit with us. We really did have a great time with you and It was very hard for me to see you go. ( I almost cried, but not quite!) I pray you don't have to go to Iraq in March and that God will continue to Bless you and Your Family. Thanks for the great times and new memories! And a special thank you to Maria for getting me back into Waterslides! Even though you beat me both times...I can't wait to race you again! Love, Susan)

Our Three girls! I am so Blessed to have these three precious girls. They each have their own personality and are different in their own way. The difference between Molly and Sadie is night and day. I think Sadie is my taste of what a boy might be like. However, Sadie and I have so much fun together during the day. She is like a sponge and is picking up new things each and every day. I know I say my kids are gifted, but I think Sads is more than gifted...in fact, she just may be a Genius! Just look at their faces. I really wish I could stop time right at this very moment of the picture. One of our favorite family things to do is to all gather on the bed and just play and be a family. What a blast we have! If I could pick what Heaven would be like....I would want our bed in Heaven and all of us to just play on it all day long! I know I have said this a million times, but I Thank God for my three girls everyday. I am so lucky and blessed by God to have the opportunity to be their Mommy. I may not have many friends, but I have the four Best Friends in the whole world that I get to spend every day with. (incase you are wondering...Dan and the three girls makes 4) God Bless! Posted by Picasa

Thanks so Oma, We will now be saving on our water bill seeing as though the kids prefer a bath in the tiny cold sink to the big warm bathtub. Today when I asked the girls if they wanted a bath, Sadie ran to the sink and asked to be "nudies" (our word for naked). So they had a bath in the sink and of course fought over who got the water dripping in their side. They had a good time!  Posted by Picasa

Don't you see your kid is crying, Lady?

Well, since Matt has been home visiting for the past two weeks, Me and the girls have been doing something daily. Which means....No Naps and Crabby kids for me! On Wednesday, Mom took all of us to The Blue Harbor Resort for a day of swimming and fun! We all had a blast. (at least I did) Anyways, Sadie was able to climb up the stairs...sit down on the waterslide...scooch herself forward...and push herself down the slide all by herself. Someone had to catch her, but other than that....she was on her own. I was so amazed that she was able to do that. She spent pretty much the entire day doing just that. We didn't leave the waterpark until almost 9:00 pm. Then we had to stop at Mom's so I could feed Abbie. I had decided to just spend the night. After fighting with Sadie to go to sleep for about a half hour, I decided to drive home. Mind you now, Sadie had about a 10 minute nap all day and was very very over tired. She didn't sleep too well that night and was up early Thursday morning. The plan for Thursday was to go to the zoo. To be perfectly honest...I did not want to go. Dan and I just wanted to have a day at home. The kids took good naps and we left for the zoo. We pretty much had to go because we had to sneak Matt's family in on our zoo pass. It was soooooooooooo crowded. Had the family not been with, Dan and I would have turned around and gone home. So we get into the zoo, and you can hardly walk without bumping into someone....it is 87 degrees out....the lines are long...and there are very few animals out. (or they were sleeping) So anyways, I wasn't having fun and Dan wasn't either. We wanted to see the new lion house, but the line was so long. Well, Sadie decided to turn into the devil at the zoo. She was mad because we wouldn't let her walk by herself. So the point of my story is this. We put Sadie in the stroller, buckled her in and let her cry or should I say scream? Okay now, people were looking at me as if I were such a bad mother. Yes I knew she was crying, I could hear her and so could the rest of the zoo. What else were we to do? Dan tried taking her out but she would just squirm. So, we decided to leave. Come on now, you all know if that were your kid, you would have left too! So the next time you see a kid screaming, please know that the parents are full aware of what is going on with their kid. So Sadie fell asleep as soon as we got in the car to go home and slept till 7:00am this morning. She turned back into an angel all hugs and kisses this morning. She even said please when she asked for her cup this morning. I am making excuses, wait I take that back...I am making an excuse for Sadie's behavior at the zoo. She has gone without a good nap for almost 2 weeks now and we haven't had a full day at home to just relax. So like Sadie, I too am crabby and if as an adult I could have acted the way she had, I would have! We love having Matt and Maria and family home and it will be sad to see the go back to Hawaii, but it will be nice to have my kids back on a schedule next week.

So Abbie looks crazy, buy she is starting to giggle and laugh now. Here is a picture of her mid giggle. I am pretty sure she is so happy because she is sitting on Molly's lap. Molly can get Abbie to giggle by doing her funny face. It is so awesome to see all three of the girls interact together now. They really are best friends and so kind and gentle to each other. (okay, Sads isn't always so gentle, but she tries!) Posted by Picasa

Ok so I thought I would take another picture of all three girls. Again, why do I try? However, notice how they are all looking somewhat towards the camera and no one is crying. Asking for a smile would have been took much for them.  Posted by Picasa

Like mother like daughter I guess. Here is my attempt atl getting my girls in a picture together. They looked so adorable in their matching dresses, so I wanted a picture. Dan had to be in it to hold Sads in one place and Abbie seems to have slipped down Molly's lap and just looks like a part of her dress. Oh well! Posted by Picasa

So here they all are (well two are missing Big Mike and James). !3 out of 15 cousins all in one picture. It is always fun when Mom says she wants all the kids in a picture. It never works out. Only one or two kids look at the camera, a few cry, and others make faces (thanks big Jon!). Anyways, we will probably try another group picture this saturday at Mattfest. Oh I mean Matt's Family reunion. The rest of the family is just the hired help I guess, although I am pretty sure we Have to volunteer for this and not get paid. More pictures of all the cousins to come. Posted by Picasa

Can You believe it? I actually got on a tube with Shananna. What a blast we Mommy's all had on the tube without our kids! I think we could have stayed out all night. Thanks Sista's for tubing with me.  Posted by Picasa

NEED I SAY ANYTHING? Is this Sads or what? Posted by Picasa

Our kids are so lucky and blessed to have Grandparents (and Oma) that are so cool. Here Molly is with Grandpa again on the jetski. What a cool Grandpa to have such fun "toys" for our kids to enjoy! Molly asked when we put her to bed that night when she can go to Green Lake again. Thanks Greg for having fun things for the kids to do. And thanks to Pam and Oma for helping with kids while we had a good time. Posted by Picasa

Yes believe what you see. Molly went Tubing for the first time last week with Grandpa. She seemed to have a good time. Grandpa told her next year she can waterski. I am not too sure about that, maybe we will stick with tubing with Grandpa for the next couple of years. She is growing up way too fast. Posted by Picasa

So I bought Molly and Jessica Princess dresses Thinking I would be the Aunt and Mommy of the year. Not really. Jessica didn't like the Sleepy Beautly dress and wanted Molly's Cinderella dress. So Dan ran back to Walmart to exchange the dress. By then, though, Molly didn't want hers anymore because it was Itchy. Yeah, so I ended up taking Molly's dress back and Jessie now has the one Molly is wearing in the picture. Next time I will get matching. so much for Aunt and Mommy of the year. Posted by Picasa

Yes, My King Brother Matt is home from Hawaii for a couple of weeks. Here he is holding Abbie and his daughter Jessica. I know what your thinking.... He's a doctor? Yes that is what he tells us! It's good to have them home. Posted by Picasa

Here the kids are with their Daddy! I know you are all wondering where Abbie's matching d ress is....she does have one, but I hadn't put it on her yet. Look at Abbie's Face...she looks just like Dan. Have a good Fourth of July! Posted by Picasa

Shopping:

I just realized something very important. I think that I am addicted to shopping. Or should I say "looking" I think I could spend all day at the mall-if my kids weren't there. When I do go shopping with the girls...We make it maybe 45 minutes at most. Last night Dan and I went to Brookfield square and we made it to 1 store. Sadie decided to through a tantrum in the Middle of Baby Gap while I was trying to get the sales clerk to let me use my coupons. (She didn't by the way, so I went to Mayfair today and they let me use the Coupons!) Anyways, I never buy things for myself, but usually only for the kids and sometimes Dan if he is lucky! So if ever any of you reading this may want to take a trip to the mall one day, give me a call! I would love to go! But, I would have to bring the kids....That's up to you!
