Family Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that might read this, that My brother Matt arrived home from Afghanistan last Sunday safe and sound! He was over there for 7 months and couldn't wait to come home. They are coming back home on the fourth of July for two weeks! I pray they have a good flight from Hawaii with the three kids...Good luck! Molly is looking forward to playing with Jessica. Mom is busy preparing for Matt to come home, we have to go up to her house tomorrow to have family work day to help prepare for the king, or uh I mean Matt! Please keep Matt in your prayers as he will more than likely have to go back to Iraq in March!

Enough about Matt now...I just wanted to share one more thing with you all. Have you ever wanted something so bad, but God says no? Well this happened to Dan and I this past week. We found a house that we really fell in love with. It was in Germantown, the place we both want to move to. It was a ranch with three bedrooms, one and a half baths, an area for me to scrapbook in, and best of all, you should have seen the back yard. There was a swing set, a sandbox, a really nice patio area, and a huge yard for the kids to play in! We were so excited...Finally we could move out of our smaller home. We would be close to good schools for the kids, and the Germantown area has some much to offer. Besides, Brian and Angela and the kids would only be a couple of minutes down the road. Sadie and Emily would have a great time playing together and it would be nice to know that we had family right down the road to help us out. It just so happens too, that Dan's aunt and uncle live 2 streets away and are expecting a Baby in December. How cool would that have been too? However, we are not going to be able to buy the house. Something like we don't have enough money. Hmmm what a disappointment it is. I thought that maybe I should get a job or do something, but with nursing Abbie right now, I just can't. So I am taking this as God's way of saying no to us. I guess it was just not meant to be. We wanted it so bad....but God is Good and I know if He will provide for us if it is meant to be.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks to all of you who post comments to me....It make me feel good to read them and know others people are sharing in our lives! God Bless

HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY HUGH! That's right, today is my Brother-in-law, Hughes Birthday. The big 40, I just can't believe it. Wait how old I am agian? Oh yeah 25! Hugh, you don't look 40, maybe 38! Hope you have a good day.  Posted by Hello

How could I not post a picture of Sadie hugging our TV. She was wanting her "songs" on. (the Cedarmont kids DVD). She would much rather watch songs now than Barney! It is always good to have a little change in the TV shows we get to watch. Dan and I would actually find ourselves watching Barney and there would be no kids in the room....then we just laugh!  Posted by Hello

Sadie wasn't sure about the skirt at first, but as soon as she saw Molly dancing in her skirt....Sadie joined right in. I am pretty sure in this picture she is playing with the little roses on the bottom. She has worn the skirt the past few days and asks me to put it on. Lately I am so amazed on how she is now copying everything Molly does. She says what Molly says, and follows her around doing what she does. Oma is going to start a Gym class with Sadie within the next few weeks...this should be interesting. I will post some pictures as soon as I can get some of her showing off her abilities!!!!!!!!!!1 Posted by Hello

We were at the dollar store last week and I picked up these "dancing skirts" for the girls. No thinking they would go over as well as they did. Molly wore her skirt all day long. She even kept it on when we went over to the Axtman's and played in the sand in it too! Here Molly is showing off her what she is learning inGym Class. This is called the Flamingo for all of you who haven't had Molly show you this time after time. Look at her perfect form! What out Olympics...here we come! We weren't quite sure if we should put Molly in class again because it is rather expensive. However, as I walked into class with her the first day, she ran around in a circle saying, "I just love Gym class, I love it, I love it, I looooooooove Gym class, Mommy." How can you deny your child something she love so much? You can't....we just have to sacrafice in other areas of our life.Anyways, she is doing great. Of course she is the "best" in the class....yeah I know...she's gifted!!!! I am hoping that maybe she could start in Ballet or Tap pretty soon....I bought her a pair of tap shoes at a rummage sale, and Molly has been practicing daily, she's loves them. I thinks back to when she was sick in the hospital on Oxygen and weighed only 5lbs, what a great God we have that she is so healthy today and growing into a beautiful little girl. We love her dearly! Posted by Hello

Why Don't I Get Paid?

Yes that is right... I am wondering why I don't get paid from Someone for the job I do. Now I realize that Dan gets up and leaves to go to work everyday and works hard. He wires this and programs that, and climbs ladders, and has appointments...but come on now, is his job REALLY harder than Mine? I would have to say "No." Being a stay at home mom is a lot of hard work. Yeah if you only have one or two kids, it's not so bad...but anything over 2 I think deserves a big fat Paycheck. Getting three kids (three girls by the way who have to have their hair done and have on matching clothes) ready in the morning, nursing one, and giving breakfast is I think the hardest of it all. Molly wants chocolate Milk, Sadie wants to have "lunch" as she calls all meals, and Abbie wants to nurse. Meanwhile, Molly has finished her Milk and needs help undoing her pants so she can go potty and Sadie is telling me she is "all done" and wants to get out of her highchair...Meanwhile, Abbie still wants to nurse. Then if we even think about going somewhere....it takes us at least an hour to get out the door. Now I know I only have three kids to take care of, but what about the women who have four or five kids. My sister Dawn has four and to my knowledge she doesn't get paid from anyone to raise her kids, and My sister Angela has Five kids and I am pretty sure she doesn't get paid either. ( she should get paid time and a half because she has a set of twin boys) So I ask this question. Why do the people doing the most important job in the world not get paid? We have to make sure the kids are polite, have good manners, know who Jesus is, know how to share, take turns, learn to use the bathroom on their own, play with other kids nicely, teach them to cook and clean, have them be healthy, make sure they don't watch too much TV, read them books everyday, make sure they are clean....I could go on all day. I say we moms (and stay at home fathers who might read this-although I am pretty sure no one really reads this) demand more respect. I mean come on now, if we are not going to get paid, then the least we deserve is a little appreciation from our husbands and family and friends for the job we do. Good old Dr Phil says that being a stay at home mom to two kids is the equivalent to having 2 full time jobs. I would not want to have 2 jobs and love the fact that I am a Proud Stay at Home mom, but I just don't think we are thought of as highly as we should be. So I encourage all of you who may know a mom or dad that stays at home... to let them know they are doing a great job at their job today! No wonder we are called desperate housewives....We want a little R. E S P E C T! Go Moms!!!!

Here the girls are outside in their little pool. Abbie was inside sleeping so I decided to set the pool up in the front yard so I could still hear her. It was almost 90degrees outside and somehow both of the girls were too cold to swim. They didn't make it outside for very long and had more fun pretending the pool was a horse. Yeeeehahhh! Posted by Hello

This is for you Oma. Here Sadie is in Abbie's carseat. Sometimes it is hard to remember that Sadie is just a baby herself. We love Sadie's personalitly so much. She is so loving towards us. She loves to give hugs and kisses and loves her sisters too! Although her personality is the total opposite of Molly's, we wouldn't want her any other way. She amazes me everyday with her speaking and now her singing. Today she asked to sing "Jesus" which is Jesus loves me. God has truly blessed us with a great daughter like Sadie. I love you Sads! Posted by Hello

This is a picture of my two sisters. Dawn on the left and Angela on the right. Abbie is in the middle! Just wanted to let them have a picture on the blog. I am sensing that there may be a bit of Jealousy in my family over my awesome blogging skills. Just cause one doesn't finish shcool, doesn't mean one can't still be smart! ( I thought of that all on my own.) Anyways, we all got together on Sunday for a coming home party for Michael (he is back from helping out my other sister in Hawaii for a few months). However, somehow Michael left his own party. Hmmmm...doesn't that seem a little odd? Anyways, there were some comments about my blog and to all of you out there who are wanting to be as cool as me....blogging is easy and FREE! Well not much new is happening. Have a great day! Posted by Hello

Wow, Who is that good looking Guy you ask? Well, That is my big brother Brian. Just wanted to all let you know who he is! Let me know what you think of him! Post a comment! Posted by Hello

Queen Molly here. Yesterday she sat on our bed wearing her crown and used her blanket as her pricess shield as she called it. She sat there for over an hour pretending she was the Queen of our bedroom and had her 2 favorite Teddy's there to wait on her! Her imagination is really coming out and she has a good time!  Posted by Hello

The new fashion in our house is wearing crowns. Princess Sadie loves to be just like Queen Molly! Posted by Hello

Abbie is now starting to smile. Sometimes you really have to work at it, and sometimes she gives you one for just being you! She has two dimples but you can only see one because she likes to give a half smile once in awhile. What a cutie! Posted by Hello

Freaky Friday

Yeah that's right... I had a freaky friday. Let me just tell you that usually on Fridays, I am at home by myself as usual waiting until 4:00 for my weekend to begin.( that is when Dan usually comes home). Well, what a different friday I had yesterday. First I had to leave the house by 6:00am to go have an MRI done at Waukesha Memorial. I actually got to listen to the radio and not kids music by myself. I also was away from all three girls for more than a half hour. That was hard. Anyways, I had my MRI (I now know what it will be like when I am in my coffin-kinda weird) and then I came home. Dan left for work and my friday was starting off. I forgot that Sarah Pfenning was coming over to help with the girls, so when she came around 9:00am I was happy. She tries to come over once a week to help me out. She goes to my church and Molly and Sadie love to play with her. It is nice to know that I can count on getting a small break when she comes over and I am thankful she wants to actually come over. Then my best friend from High School came over (Jamie). It was so great to see her again and get to actually talk to another adult. As we were talking, the doorbell rang. Man, I am so popular. It was my mom making her Friday Visit. Yeah, so I actually had 3 other people at my house other than kids! Mom didn't stay long because she had to work, but Jamie hung out till a little after 1:00. Then it was just me and Sarah. Of course the kids didn't sleep all at the same time, so I didn't get a chance to lay down (I had been up since 3:30am with nusing Abbie and then getting ready for the MRI). Then around 4:00pm my friend Julie came over to use our computer to do some homework for her summer school. I keep telling her to drop out, but she still keeps doing her homework. She will graduate in December. She teases me about being dumb cause I didn't finish college, and I tease her because she is majoring in Consumer and family Sciences. She wants to teach marriage and family classes even though she isn't married and doesn't have a family of her own. That kinda seems strange to me. Let me teach a Marriage and Family class,,,I will let those high schoolers know what to expect. Don't expect your husband to do anything but play games, and don't expect your wife to make a meal every night and have it on the table when you get home from work! Anyways, she stayed and did her homework which took her all night and made her deadline by 1 minute. Sarah went home leaving our insane house-I am pretty sure she was ready to go home-I would have been. So I thank you all who came over on friday to make my day more interesting than normal. I actually felt like I had a life and was a real person on friday. Yep, till this morning whenI woke up and Dan went in to work on a Saturday. Maybe my weekend will start tomorrow. I doubt it:)

And our Babbers! Not the best picture,,,but what else can you do with a 2 month old? I think she still looks super cute!  Posted by Hello

Here is Sadie in a fishing boat because this is the only way we could get her to take a picture with out me in it! After a half hour in a small picture studio with no air conditioning on...we got one of Sadie semi smiling! Posted by Hello

Isn't this a great picture of Molly? She looks so natural and cute. I can't believe that in a few months our sweet baby will be 3 years old.  Posted by Hello

Yeah, so we had the girls pictures taken the other day. Of course Dan wanted them to all wear the same dresses! We had quite the experience there like I always do, but I don't think they turned out that bad. With the three little ones, I am just glad I could get them all in one picture together not crying. Posted by Hello

Yes this is our crazy Sadie Grace. She has on a pair of build a bear sunglasses and she is double picking her "boogies" as she calls them. She is also wearing her swim suit because that is what she picked out to wear today. Nobody believes me when I say that Sads is super crazy, but if you come spend a day with me at home, you will soon agree! She is a totally different child than our sweet Molls. Sads is talking so well and is putting 2-3 word sentences together already. She is very much so a "daddy's girl". The other night I was rocking her and singing to her at about 2:00am and she just kept calling for her daddy. She will take me if Dan is not around, but he is her top choice. We sure do love our Crazy Sads and she keeps me on my toes! Posted by Hello

Count Your Blessings.

As I get older (I am sure you all know that I am an old woman now that I just had my 25th birthday) more and more things become more clear to me. When I was a teenager, I loved babies. I would fight to hold my nephews and Niece and I couldn't get enough of them. My family has always been a priority in my life and it still is. Now that I have 3 little ones of my own, I am in awe of the awesome miralce of life. What does God see in me that He has blessed me with being able to have my own kids to raise? I haven't done anything special in my life ( I even dropped out of college) why do I get the honor and privilegde to be a Mommy? I can't express how thankful I am that God has given me what I have always longed to have. Just recently a few people I know have had some difficulties with pregnancies with losing a baby or difficulties with even getting pregnant. I am truly blessed to have had three great pregnancies. That is why I am typing this...even though other things are not going so well in my life right now, I have the 3 greatest blessings in the world (even though 2 out of the 3 are trying to help me type this right now). So I encourage you to "count your blessings" today. Even though, like me, some areas in your life may not look so good, be thankful for what you have. Start by thanking God that you are here on this awesome earth He has created for another day! Thank you God for my sweet girls, Molly, Sadie, and Abigail!

Just another shot of Abbie...isn't she just so cute? Posted by Hello

Here is a picture of our Sweet Abigail Ann on her 2 month birthday. We can't believe that she is two months old already. She is such a great baby! She went for her 2 month check up and is 10 pounds 1 ounce and 22 inches long. The good news is that she has a small head. Molly and Sadie were always in the 50th to 75th percentile for their head sizes and Abbie's head isn't even on the charts! She also got 4 shots in her legs so she is kinda sleepy. She did well at her check and can come off her heart monitor in about a week! Posted by Hello

A night at the beach

Dan and I took the kids to Pewaukee lake this evening after the heavy rainfall. It was so beautiful at the beach. The sun was setting and there was a gentle breeze. The water was pretty warm and there were only a few others there. We didn't bring the kids suits because they weren't going to go in the water....we should have known better! Sadie fell in the water right on her butt and Molly got all wet trying to fill her bucket up with rocks in the water. Abbie slept in her carseat as usual. They had a great time and so did I. As I watched the sun start to set over the lake, I coulndn't help but realize just how awesome God is to me. I have a wonderful husband and three great little girls. I could not ask for more in my life. What a great God we have indeed!

Welcome to our Blog

I am going to give this blogging thing a try. Hopefully this will keep you updated in what is going on in our lives and of course brag to you about our kids! Let us know what you Think!
